Sphere of scientific interests in the past:  Influence of anthropogenic effects (fertilization, tillage, and irrigation) on:
  • fate of nitrogen in soil-plant-atmosphere system and its budget in soil;
  • nutrients (N, P and K) behavior in soils;
  • chemical and biological properties of soils;
  • yield and quality of cereal and forage crops;
  • pollution of environment.

 

Sphere of scientific interests at the present:

 
  • soil testing and plant diagnostic of macro- and micronutrients, new methods of calculation of fertilizer doses;
  • carbon and nitrogen cycling in agricultural ecosystems of West Siberia focusing on soil internal processes;
  • carbon and nitrogen cycling in natural ecosystems of Siberian tundra zone; influence of seasonal frost and permafrost in the aspect of global climate change;
  • quantity and quality of soil organic matter in different ecosystems of Siberia and their alterations under influence of anthropogenic factors and climate change;
  • emission of greenhouses gases (CO2, CH4, N2O) from agro- and natural ecosystems of West Siberia;
  • estimation of agro-potential of West Siberia in a changing climate.
   
Publications:  41 full-sized peer-reviewed papers, 2 patents, 3 monographs, 45 selected short papers and abstracts in conferences proceedings.
